Through joint workshops and pilots, the project aimed to contribute to more circular and resilient local communities that, by using W2W resources, will be more empowered to innovate in their respective sectors and collaboratively develop and implement solutions to combat food waste
When comparing research findings, partners identified that solutions to food waste focused on reduction, rather than reuse. This meant a general lack among VET trainers, food SMEs and hospitality businesses of tailored tools, methodologies and resources to translate waste reuse concepts into concrete actions and opportunities. Furthermore, food waste learning lacks a structured integration of innovative pedagogical approaches that could not only enhance innovation but also empower SME learners and professionals to develop solutions.
