The goal of the RIAM was to enable as many mobilities as possible and support our students, teachers and staff in their learning, creative and research efforts. These mobilities are essential to continue building on previously established relationships with many of our expert teachers being sought after repeatedly for masterclasses, as well as look to the future to forge and foster new relationships and connections. Our institution has thrived by being close to our EU peer community, developing networks in specialist areas and seeing new ideas in music performance education. We feel capitalizing on the success of shorter mobilities and especially BIPs is now a prime focus of the institution Erasmus ethos. BIPS are becoming a very effective use of our funding as they enable pointed projects and engagement with multiple institutions in one go. They also enable students to experience and Erasmus mobility who otherwise would not be able to undertake a semester or year abroad due to financial constraints.
