The Erasmus+ project undertaken by our organization aimed to enhance the professional capabilities of youth workers and enrich the lives of young people in Reykjavík. Our primary objectives were to provide youth workers with opportunities for international learning and exchange through mobility activities to Denmark, Sweden, and Ireland. In Denmark, they visited institutions like SSP Copenhagen, various youth clubs, and professional groups focused on crime prevention among children and youth. In Sweden, they engaged with Rosengård fritidsgård and crisis intervention teams in Malmö. In Ireland, visits included the Sexual Health Center, YMCA Rainbow Group, and various LGBTI+ support centers to understand diverse youth work approaches and collaborative strategies. We also aimed to empower young people by exposing them to different cultures through youth exchanges with Norway and Ireland, fostering their personal development and broadening their perspectives. A key aspect was to integrate principles of inclusion and diversity, ensuring that activities were accessible and beneficial to a wide range of young people. Additionally, we committed to integrating digital components to align with modern educational needs and environmental consciousness. Lastly, the project sought to strengthen our organization's ability to manage international projects effectively through efficient coordination, monitoring, and dissemination of results.
