The project was designed by ENAIP, an organisation whose core mission is to support young people at risk of social marginalisation. The mobility experience abroad is considered essential to promoting a learning process that takes place outside the traditional educational context. The main goal is to encourage learning as an active and multidimensional process, integrating not only cognitive aspects but also emotional, affective, and relational development.
The Enaip Foundation works with students enrolled in compulsory education and training programmes. Participants in the various activities often come from disadvantaged backgrounds for two main reasons: a) Only 50% of the current learners are of Italian origin, and therefore face integration challenges and language barriers. b) Many students have experienced negative educational and/or training paths, and some are even referred by social services due to family-related difficulties
