By implementing the project our targets have been the enlargement of the knowledge and tools about hydroponics, aquaculture and agricolture 4.0. In addition, we wanted to verify on the field the advantages and disadvantages of both hydroponic and acquaculture technologies. A direct comparison with skilled techinicians in this field also allowed us to establish close relationships for future cooperations and activities. From now on such targets can be transmitted to our students to motivate them.
The Agricultural Institute Serpieri is composed by four school complexis, located in three areas of Abruzzo region, in the center of Italy. The needs of the context are linked to environmental sustainability, organic crops, the conservation of the forest heritage, the conscious management of the soil and water resources, the correct agro-food transformation. The mission of the insititute is to obtain professional students in the agro-food and environmental field, as for the "Agenda 2030" goals.
