Objectives

A year ago, a new member joined our academic team, dedicating themselves entirely to the management and development of the Erasmus and International Relations Office, through new projects and collaborations aimed at implementing international opportunities. Compared to the previous year, student mobility requests have increased significantly, along with teaching and/or training proposals from our lecturers and academic staff. Several students with fewer opportunities have taken advantage of the dedicated top-up, allowing more participants, even those with financial difficulties, to take part in the project. For the first time, several students and lecturers were selected to take part in the BIP organised by the Madrid Academy, TAI Aula Abierta, thus allowing even those who did not make it through the ranking for long-term mobility to undertake an experience which, although brief, left a strong European mark. The academic staff continues to undertake training and job shadowing experiences to improve their personal and teaching skills and to open up to an increasingly inclusive and international context. The Head of International Relations has participated in several trips, including the “International Weeks”, with the main aim of creating new links and networking opportunities, as well as understanding the structure and functioning of these initiatives so that they can soon be replicated at the LABA Academy. During this project, new partnerships were also established, such as with Dogus University in Istanbul, HKU in Utrecht and the Faculty of Design in Ljubljana.
