Objectives

The main goal of our project was to give our country and institution the opportunity to play a part in the international arena offering and obtaining elements of good practice so as to carry out the activities in the most accurate way and ensure all round satisfaction of participants. The main objective in implementing this project was to realize a problem-free student and staff mobility. Our objective was to use the entire grant allocated to our institution efficiently. For this reason, we aimed to increase the number of agreements, especially to sign new bilateral agreements so as to offer different alternatives to both our students and our staff by increasing the number of countries and universities with which we established agreements. However, we were not so successful in the student mobility area due to the low number of enrolled students. Internationalisation is forefront for IUM Academy School, and the opportunity to participate in the Erasmus+ programme has increased the European character of the institution. Our objectives are: to strengthen the communication and professionalisation skills of students and teaching and admin staff, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds; to establish additional agreements with European partner universities; to favour inclusion; to meet the training needs of university students according to the European Competence Development Frameworks; to improve the knowledge, competence and participation levels of young people; to foster attitudes of research and personal study; to increase collaborative and communicative skills among colleagues of different nationalities and cultures; to acquire transversal competences, to increase young people's achievements in education and training and to prepare them for modern social and working life; to improve language and communication skills to operate in a multinational environment; to promote sustainability and voluntary activities. IUM periodically organises webinars and seminars to explain the advantages of the Erasmus+ project. Seeing that student numbers have decreased drastically, the response was positive.
