Call 2023: Strategic Objectives for Abadir Call 2023 was the VII round running the Erasmus Plus Program for Accademia Abadir. We aimed to strengthen our international partnerships, reinforce our role in the program and realize as high as possible number of mobilities, promoting the Erasmus Program - the multitude of opportunities it offers and their positive outcomes -, cultural diversity and European citizenship. Specific objectives for this call have been: promoting the multilinguism, to meet a fundamental EU principle, supporting learning languages and diversity; promoting the international dimension, which allows - among others - the flow of new ideas, the promotion of best practices among institutions and high standards of our students profiles; promoting the talent development of our students and facilitating their access to the job market, improving the professional skills, enhancing the employability and supporting the career prospects of students who belong to a disadvantaged area such as Sicily. Sicily reports higher numbers of unemployment and economic migration so if International mobilities positively affects the labour market outcomes of students, the international dimension and the erasmus program become a key factor in Abadir’s mission. Scientific researches state that spending a period abroad increases the attractiveness of candidates in the job market, this is why Accademia Abadir has strongly supported the Erasmus programme and pushed students to spend a period in a foreign country for Erasmus traineeship; realize the first Blended Intensive Program - B.I.P. as coordinator, focused on the topic of the Water and consequently on the climate change and the fight against it. Innovation and impact at local level Moreover, the digitalization process advanced including all the aspects of mobility management, first and foremost the Online Learning Agreement, OLA 3.0 which allows students to fill in an online document, to revise and change it, to have signed it with not a single paper wasted. Accademia Abadir pushed students, staff and faculty to realize a period abroad, to meet partner's institutions to strengthen relationships, promote international activities, receive significant boosts and share best practices. The enriching results are reflected in the local context, as well. Each mobility generates a ripple effect and it affects everything else around, on both micro and macro levels. Talking about the gap between Sicily and the rest of Europe, we are aware how each single effort counts in terms of positive impact on the local community. Through Erasmus, the Academy strengthens the link between training, research and the world of work. The program becomes a strategic element for the professional training of students, engages the academic staff in innovative cooperation and research projects responding to new employment trends.
