The University of Palermo, in line with its three-year strategic plans, aims to strengthen its European and international dimension. To this end, it constantly monitors and enhances interinstitutional agreements to offer a greater number of mobility opportunities abroad, thus enhancing the university's attractiveness. Mobility projects offer significant benefits, contributing to the development of teaching quality through interaction with different educational systems, updating teaching methods, and expanding the program offerings. At the same time, they foster the professional growth of professors and administrative staff, enabling them to acquire new skills and improve their ability to manage international projects. Thanks to mobility projects, the University strengthens its strategic partnerships and establishes new ones, increasing its attractiveness to international students and faculty and enriching the university environment with greater vitality and cultural diversity. Furthermore, mobility promotes research, facilitating the writing of theses and access to foreign institutions through new agreements. The project has allowed the University to enter into new agreements to expand its educational offerings. Among these, we mention a double degree with the Université Bourgogne Europe-UBE (Dijon) for the master's degree in Economics and Business Sciences. Furthermore, a new joint degree (European Joint Degree in Languages, Cultures, and Communication) is on the way, having already received approval from the Valencian Accreditation Agency. The University of Palermo has also managed to expand its international network, increasing mobility opportunities. Standard mobility is complemented by a virtual component, born during the pandemic and now considered a valuable resource. A concrete example is the use of the Forthem Alliance Digital Academy, an online platform that offers courses, international exchanges, and training for academics, ensuring greater flexibility and accessibility.
