Objectives

Tor Vergata University of Rome considers internationalization a strategic pillar and a key factor in its growth and educational mission. The institution is actively committed to positioning itself as a fundamental reference point for the evolution of the intercultural integration process, both within Europe and on a broader global scale. To support and fuel this crucial process, the University makes strategic use of Erasmus+ program resources. These funds are not merely a financial support but a vital tool for the development and management of a vast network of agreements and cooperation programs for academic and scientific purposes. These collaborations, established on a multilateral and bilateral basis, connect Tor Vergata with a diverse range of partners, including companies, corporations, and prestigious higher education institutions across Europe and beyond. The primary objective of these agreements is to enrich educational offerings and research by facilitating the mobility and exchange of students, professors, interns, and administrative staff. Consequently, the university is dedicated to providing high-quality professional and academic training, with a particular focus on its international appeal. Its academic structure, based on the three levels of Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctorate degrees, was designed to be competitive and recognizable worldwide. The adoption of ECTS credits has contributed significantly to making Tor Vergata's academic system transparent and user-friendly on an international level. This has decisively simplified the issuance of documents such as the Diploma Supplement and Europass and has greatly facilitated the recognition of joint or dual degrees. In the current context, strengthening international collaborations with universities, companies, and other institutions has become a top priority for the University in the coming years. This is directly linked to the concept of the triangle of knowledge which emphasizes the inseparable connection between education, research, and the professional world. Tor Vergata recognizes that this synergy is crucial for cultivating excellence and fostering development. The process of selecting partners, in which institutions are evaluated based on criteria such as their reputation, structure, and quality of research, reflects the university's continuous commitment to international excellence.
