The program's implementation aimed for several anticipated outcomes including: 1) Increased participation in mobility programs from both students and staff, with an emphasis on inclusiveness and accessibility through diverse formats such as short-term and blended intensive programs, while at the same time fostering staff training opportunities to facilitate the exchange of good practices, promote innovation, and support professional development within the university community; 2) Aspiration for remarkable progress in participants’ communication, language proficiency, and intercultural skills; 3) The successful formation of new connections and collaborations with target countries, along with the establishment of new inter-institutional agreements, with particular attention to the newly established Department of Medicine and Surgery, thereby creating new opportunities for study, traineeship, and joint collaboration; 4) Advance the digitization and streamlining of administrative procedures related to Erasmus mobilities, reducing bureaucratic hurdles and improving overall efficiency 5) Envisioning continuous improvement through feedback and other monitoring activities 6) consolidate a stronger culture of internationalization on campus by laying the groundwork for the creation of a local Erasmus Student Network (ESN) section in Enna, building on the long-standing involvement of UKE Buddies, and by ensuring continuous improvement through regular feedback and monitoring activities.
