Objectives

The University of Milan (UNIMI) strongly supports the Erasmus+ Programme, a cornerstone of its internationalisation strategy. Among its main actions, KA131 stands out, benefiting thousands of students, trainees, and staff every year. Within the UNIMI community, the value of studying, training, or working abroad is already well established. With the 2021–2027 Programme, several new concepts have been gradually introduced. In 2023, UNIMI decided to look beyond the undeniable advantages of mobility, placing greater emphasis on fostering awareness of European values. To this end, the University promoted initiatives aimed at building a culture of environmental responsibility, democratic participation, digital transition, language skills, and civic engagement. At every stage, the commitments made under the ECHE have served as guiding principles, enabling progress in many areas while leaving space for future improvement. Embracing diversity and inclusion, UNIMI is committed to making Erasmus accessible to the widest possible audience by offering support for inclusion and promoting new forms of mobility, such as Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs).
