Through the implementation of the activities envisaged by the Erasmus+ programme, the University of Camerino (UNICAM) has strengthened and expanded its international dimension, recognized as a strategic priority for the enhancement and continuous development of teaching and research. Since January 2025, UNICAM has been part of KreativEU: Knowledge & Creativity European University Alliance. At the heart of the project lies the creative potential of European cultural heritage, which will guide teaching, research, and knowledge transfer activities. By engaging in long-term institutional, structural, and strategic cooperation, the partners aim to transform the study of culture, identity, memory, and heritage, ensuring that the benefits extend to society and contribute to a sustainable and harmonious future. In its Strategic Plan 2024–2029, international mobility of students and staff is identified as a key driver for innovation, internationalization, and personal and professional growth. The University actively promotes this experience in an inclusive way, supporting students with fewer opportunities and fostering intercultural learning, active citizenship, and the dissemination of the creative and democratic values of the European Union. Through this commitment, the University of Camerino contributes to the realization of the European Education Area (2021–2030), promoting open, fair, and high-quality education. Mobility is also encouraged for teaching and technical-administrative staff, who benefit from training and teaching periods abroad—valuable opportunities for exchange that enrich professional skills and foster the creation of collaborative networks. International mobility thus emerges as a strategic element for strengthening academic and scientific relations. Experiences of study, internships, teaching, and training abroad help consolidate inter-institutional ties, promote the exchange of good practices, and stimulate the co-design of teaching and research activities. This process supports the development of lasting partnerships, the creation of joint programmes, and the enhancement of the University’s international profile.
