University of Catania (UNICT) places the internationalization at the center of its institutional strategy. The Strategic Plan 2022-2026 emphasizes how internationalization is transversal to the strategic areas of Education, Research, Third Mission and Services in their supranational dimension, in line with the EPS 2021/2027 objectives and the commitments made with the ECHE 2021/2027. Participation in the Erasmus Program is strategically functional to promoting the international dimension at an individual, academic and civic level. The first focuses on developing the international perspective of the community of students, faculty and staff; the second concerns the development of international curricula; the third aims at the development of civic engagement and active citizenship among outgoing and incoming students and staff before, during and after the mobility. UNICT pays particular attention to digitization processes, to enhancing the educational offer in English and in general to increasing the quality of teaching. Functional to this process is the membership from 2020, renewed in 2023, to the European Alliance EUNICE.
