Objectives

The implementation of project KA131 aimed to strengthen the quality, accessibility, and impact of mobility opportunities for both students and staff, ensuring that international experiences contribute meaningfully to academic progress, professional development, and personal growth. Mobility periods abroad, whether for study or traineeship, have been carefully structured and fully recognised within the institutional framework, fostering transparency and academic coherence. A central ambition has been to make mobility inclusive and accessible to participants from all backgrounds, by widening participation, reducing barriers, and taking advantage of additional funding opportunities to support underrepresented groups. At the same time, the project has embraced the green transition, encouraging the use of sustainable travel options and raising awareness among participants of environmentally responsible practices. The digital dimension has also been a key driver: the development of digital competences, the use of virtual collaboration tools, and the digitalisation of mobility management processes have complemented physical mobility, increasing flexibility and resilience. The project has also sought to promote civic engagement and the sharing of European values, by encouraging both incoming and outgoing participants to take part in activities linked to democratic participation and intercultural dialogue. The international scope of the programme has been broadened, diversifying destination countries and reinforcing mobility opportunities beyond Europe, thus consolidating the global dimension of the institution’s strategy. Furthermore, specific attention has been given to bridging higher education with research and innovation, with initiatives such as short-term physical mobility at the doctoral level. Finally, after three years of participation in the European University Alliance, mobility actions have been fully embedded within its strategic framework. The project has not only contributed to consolidating cooperation within the Alliance but has also ensured coherence between institutional practices and broader European objectives, demonstrating long-term impact and sustainability.
