The One Health One Europe Consortium was created with the strategic objective of bringing together various higher education institutions and a large number of innovative companies operating in key sectors such as agrifood, sustainable tourism, the blue economy, nutraceutical and pharmaceutical research. The intent was twofold: on the one hand, to promote the modernisation and internationalisation of the university system, and on the other, to help reduce the skills mismatch between academic training and the labour market, accompanying students and staff on growth paths oriented towards green skills and the One Health approach. The specific objectives are: - To promote the employability of students and recent graduates through professional internships abroad, capable of strengthening technical, transversal and linguistic skills and generating concrete benefits for the productive realities involved; - To support the acquisition and recognition of green skills, both for students and staff, in line with labour market priorities and the European agenda for green transition; - To enhance the international dimension by expanding the networks of partner universities, both in Europe and in third countries, with a particular focus on organisations sensitive to environmental sustainability and One Health principles. The first mobility cycle has already had a positive impact on students, staff and host companies: participants have developed soft skills, language skills, intercultural awareness and, in several cases, new employment prospects. However, the number of mobilities achieved was lower than initially forecast; as a result, we expect the full potential of the project to emerge in subsequent calls, when the consortium will be able to consolidate what has been started and expand the scope of activities.
