The University of Naples “L'Orientale,” a center of excellence in the study of languages and cultures, strengthened its international dimension in 2023 thanks to the Erasmus+ Program, developing collaborations with Kazakhstan, Morocco, and Tanzania. In Kazakhstan, partnerships were established with various universities, a Summer School on Central Asia was organized, and a dual degree program in International Relations and new mobility initiatives were launched, also replacing suspended exchanges with Russia. In Morocco, relations with partner universities in Berber studies, political science, and international relations were consolidated, promoting student and faculty exchanges. In Tanzania, the aim was to promote Kiswahili, encourage the exchange of skills, and expand the range of courses on offer. The project has increased the visibility of Erasmus+ outside Europe, made the University more attractive, and consolidated a competitive and global academic environment.
