Objectives

The PSA101 project aimed to achieve multiple, interconnected goals that addressed the needs of students, educators, and society at large. By implementing a transnational, cross-sectoral partnership, the project aimed to develop an innovative and scalable communication training program that enhanced emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and employability. Through collaboration, knowledge transfer, and a focus on inclusivity, PSA101 created a model that can be adopted by educational institutions across Europe, contributing to the development of well-rounded individuals who are equipped to navigate the complexities of the modern world. Ultimately, the project aimed to foster a new generation of leaders and changemakers who can communicate effectively, think critically, and engage with society in meaningful ways.

Background

The Power Speaking Academy 101 (PSA101 ) application stemmed from the urgent need to integrate effective communication and public speaking skills into higher education curricula, emphasizing emotional communication and self-awareness. Traditional academic knowledge alone is increasingly considered insufficient for students and professionals to reach their full potential; instead, holistic development and soft skills have become essential. The PSA101 project specifically addressed these gaps by creating an accessible, inclusive program to increase confidence, employability and entrepreneurial skills among diverse groups - students, unemployed youth, entrepreneurs and people with communication disorders. The initiative provided practical, real-world training in public speaking and soft skills, empowering people from disadvantaged backgrounds and supporting lifelong learning. The project was in line with European priorities for integration, retraining and workforce preparation. Ultimately, PSA101 aimed to create a sustainable, effective model that combined educational and social needs and can be replicated across Europe to build a more inclusive society by improving communication skills.
