By implementing the project, we wanted to achieve several key objectives. First, we aimed to increase our students’ awareness of environmental issues and the importance of sustainable practices in everyday life. We also wanted to empower them with the skills and knowledge needed to become active, responsible citizens capable of contributing to a greener future. Another important goal was to foster international cooperation and intercultural understanding by connecting our students and teachers with peers from other European countries. Through collaborative activities, we hoped to develop critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills related to environmental challenges. Ultimately, we sought to integrate sustainability more deeply into our school’s educational practices and to create a lasting impact on our local community.
I applied for this Erasmus KA210 project because I strongly believe that education plays a crucial role in promoting sustainability and environmental awareness among young generations. In our school, we have noticed a growing need to foster students’ understanding of environmental challenges and to encourage active citizenship towards a more sustainable future. Through this project, we aim to address the lack of hands-on experiences and international collaboration opportunities related to environmental education. We also want to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to make responsible decisions and to take meaningful action to protect our planet. Participating in this project will help us integrate sustainability more deeply into our school curriculum and build a network of European partners committed to the same goals.
