By carrying out this project, we aimed to improve the digital skills of both students and teachers in our schools. We wanted to help them use digital technologies more effectively and responsibly, following the EU Digital Competence Framework. Our goal was to support students in managing their digital identity, understanding digital literacy, and being aware of misinformation. We also focused on reducing digital gender inequality by encouraging more female students to participate and feel confident in digital fields thanks to various collaborative activities. Another important aim was to increase the digital capacity of our schools by promoting the innovative and creative use of digital tools in teaching and learning. We wanted to create a sustainable digital environment that supports collaboration and lifelong learning. Through the project, we encouraged international cooperation, allowing teachers and students to share ideas, learn new methods, and improve their digital competences together. As a result, the project aimed to help schools undergo digital transformation, enhance the quality of education, and prepare students for the challenges of the digital world.
We applied to this project because our schools urgently needed digital transformation due to the fast growth of digital technologies in daily life. There were clear gaps in digital skills among students and teachers, low digital literacy, and little awareness about misinformation. We also aimed to reduce digital gender inequality by giving female students more opportunities and motivation in digital fields. The project focused on developing digital competences of students and teachers following the EU Digital Competence Framework (DigComp 2.2), promoting ethical technology use, supporting digital identity management, and fighting misinformation. It also aimed to increase the digital capacities of schools to build a sustainable digital environment. Through this, the project helped improve individual skills and enabled school management and teachers to adopt innovative teaching methods via international cooperation. It successfully addressed digital skill gaps, literacy needs, misinformation awareness, and promoted gender equality while supporting teachers’ professional growth with new digital tools and methods at both individual and institutional levels.
