The project's implementation achieved the following objectives: - Integrating and disseminating good educational practices that combine traditional methods with digital, technological, and innovative ones, with a particular focus on developing methodologies for students with learning disabilities (difficulties concentrating, problems with language development, and problems processing visual and auditory information). - Creating and consolidating a European learning and teaching space that will strengthen the online education system. - Strengthening the language and technological skills of participating school staff. - Promoting the digital transition of schools through cooperation and the exchange of expertise and experiences between partner organizations.
The NEW MT SES project was born from the need to address the digital divide in schools, not only in Italy but also across Europe. The proposal arose from discussions between schools of different levels and in different countries regarding the challenges of distance learning during the pandemic. All the schools in the partnership—Istituto A. Toscanini, CEIP Los Morales, and Borsa İstanbul Mehmet Akif Ersoy—had adequate digital classroom infrastructure with equipment and teaching tools. However, the problem of teachers' limited technological skills persists, and above all, little attention is paid to the inclusion of innovative learning methods for students with learning disabilities. Our project was born from these needs and aimed, through strategic cooperation between partners, to develop a shared educational best practice that integrates traditional teaching methods with technological/digital ones, and focuses on tools for teaching and including students with learning disabilities.
