The main objectives of the project were: - to support and improve the work of adult educators working with vulnerable and marginalised people - to activate empowerment processes within the target groups, encouraging a reinterpretation of personal experiences through which to strengthen life skills - to develop a shared methodology at European level for working with storytelling in adult education - to provide operational tools for professionals working in adult education - to promote knowledge of European cultures through the telling of traditional stories.
The project stems from the need to promote social inclusion and personal growth among adults in vulnerable situations — people with disabilities, refugees, prisoners, people with addictions and women who are socio-professionally disadvantaged — through the innovative use of storytelling as an educational and non-formal learning method. The narration of meaningful stories is an effective tool for stimulating reflection, self-awareness and the development of transversal skills, promoting integration, active participation and the strengthening of personal and social identity. The project responds to the concrete needs of inclusion, equal opportunities and social reintegration of the target groups, while aiming to improve the quality of educational work with adults, promoting cooperation between public and private organisations and the creation of transnational networks for the exchange of good practices and methodological innovation.
