Objectives

Through the 2023 annual plan for the Erasmus+ Accreditation in the field of Youth, Informagiovani pursued the objectives of its multi-year strategic plan in the fields of non-formal education and youth policies. Specifically, the association aimed to encourage the active involvement of young people by designing and implementing initiatives that promoted experiential and non-formal learning processes. These initiatives stimulated participants to develop transversal skills such as communication, work in group, critical thinking, empathy, and self-esteem. These activities were designed to create meaningful, participatory learning contexts based on intercultural dialogue, cooperation and mutual understanding. At the same time, the activities helped to raise awareness of important issues on the European and global agendas, such as environmental sustainability, digital transformation, civic participation, gender equality and the mental well-being of young people. The activities also encouraged the adoption of sustainable lifestyles and environmental responsibility as fundamental dimensions of active citizenship. They provided an opportunity to create spaces for 'onlife' participation, integrating digital and analogue dimensions, and promoting civic and active participation. Another objective was to strengthen skills and tools for socio-educational activities. For example, professional development activities aimed to improve the quality of work with young people by promoting the exchange of experiences, innovative educational tools, and updated content. The activities enabled the sharing of methodological and practical resources to address emerging challenges related to digital education, media literacy and the promotion of healthy and inclusive relationships in educational contexts. This contributed to strengthening the professional skills of those involved and the capacity for intervention of their respective organisations. Inclusion was a cross-cutting objective in all mobility activities. Particular attention was paid to participants from disadvantaged backgrounds, offering them intercultural experiences to stimulate open-mindedness, discussion and growth from a European perspective. Around one-third of participants came from disadvantaged social, economic, or cultural backgrounds, and for many of them, particularly young people, it was their first experience of international mobility. This approach reflects Informagiovani's commitment to ensuring equal access to educational and participation opportunities, in line with the principle of 'inclusion by default'. The annual activity plan successfully strengthened networking between associations and institutions at local, national and European levels. Cooperation was stimulated with associations and youth centres, particularly in suburban or rural areas, as well as with public institutions such as schools and social services. This promoted the creation of inclusive educational pathways. These synergies, developed during the preparation and promotion of activities, consolidated existing relationships and initiated new collaborations with the aim of improving the impact of activities in the area and ensuring their long-term sustainability.
