Objectives

The Erasmus+ Accreditation of Associazione Joint, within which we carried out the activities described in this final report, aims to create opportunities for involvement and empowerment in European mobility projects, creating safer and more inclusive environments for all participants, particularly those with fewer opportunities and defined as “highly vulnerable young people”. This latter definition, coined during the Partnership Building Activity in November 2022, carried out within the framework of the previous KA151, refers to young people who face an overlap of at least two exclusion factors, at least one of which is permanent or long-term, for whom it is therefore necessary to develop specific inclusion practices and tools: local and international strategies for effective and inclusive recruitment, enhanced preparation, specific training for operators and group leaders, flexible approaches with a particular focus on safeguarding during activities, and follow-up pathways that are able to keep young people engaged and encourage them to build on their mobility experience. The multi-year strategy aims to work on three interconnected dimensions: - The dimension of local and international partners, through the creation of stable networks and cooperation, functional to creating the conditions for: a. effectively reaching young people with fewer opportunities and highly vulnerable young people. b. creating shared quality standards to ensure inclusive, safe mobility opportunities that are part of a training process tailored to the needs of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds (including through greater investment in pre-departure activities and the follow-up process). b. ensuring continuity in the training offered by organisations, both locally and internationally, through the establishment of annual partnership agreements and the refinement of collaborations. - The training of group leaders and other youth workers involved in the process, to ensure better support for participants at all stages of mobility. The creation of training curricula for group leaders is also essential in order to involve a greater number of former participants in training courses to become leaders. - The number of young people who need to be reached and involved in mobility activities. These young people, initially involved as beneficiaries of mobility projects, are supported by the organisations involved in participating in other training activities and in becoming more active in the sector, both as group leaders and as local Young Ambassadors for mobility projects, through the training activities described later in this report. In line with the six objectives set out in the strategy and action plan presented in 2023, we have pursued the following specific objectives through our activities: 1- To create a structure for inclusion, support and training for all participants, strengthening and extending the network of international organisations active in the field of youth inclusion in European mobility projects, which collaborate with Associazione Joint, through: a. the development of shared practices and guidelines for quality inclusive mobility, based on the experiences and good practices already implemented by the organisations. b. the establishment of partnership agreements to ensure that the organisations involved have access to a greater number of mobility projects in which they can send or welcome young people with fewer opportunities or who are highly vulnerable. 2- Training youth workers and group leaders on the above practices, providing them with the tools to effectively support participants, and in particular those with fewer opportunities and who are highly vulnerable, in all phases of mobility (pre-departure, implementation, follow-up); 3- Increase opportunities for intercultural learning and personal growth in European mobility projects hosted by Associazione Joint within the framework of its accreditation. 4- Involve young people more in the planning and management of activities and give them the tools to take on more responsibility in future projects, with a view to empowerment. 5- Increase the involvement of other local organisations and stakeholders, both in the selection and pre-departure phases and in the implementation of mobility activities, in order to strengthen local networks for inclusion, as provided for in Joint's multi-annual strategy. 6- Promote the Erasmus+ programme by effectively involving young people in the production of content and events aimed at their peers. By involving many young people with fewer opportunities, this approach also aimed to reach other young people with fewer opportunities more effectively.
