Many of the EU's rural and peripheral areas face a common challenge: the displacement of younger human resources. However, by focusing on young people's familiarity with their context we have shown how to capitalize on their assets, triggering a favorable circuit that can add value to the area. Bringing together young people from 6 different rural and suburban areas to work jointly on the analysis of their local realities, needs and requirements allowed us to develop proposals that can contribute to improving the quality of life and was useful in pursuing the following objectives: fighting for a healthy and clean environment and against global warming, through reuse and recycling strategies; identifying innovative practices to promote conscious behaviors and cultural references; promoting healthy and outdoor-based living habits as well as educating on the benefits of nonformal education; Incentivizing the con concept of Learning by Doing; Promote cooperation, inclusion and equality among young people. During the 7 days of coexistence, young people as per the objectives, strengthened European values, creating bonds and collaborating beyond prejudices and stereotypes. Thus, internationalization was strengthened to enable young people to relate to different cultural and social contexts, improve their knowledge of foreign languages and acquire different working methods than those typical of their home countries. The goal was also to impart practical and theoretical knowledge to encourage young people to pursue their own projects, fostering the exchange of good practices; Disseminate the skills and knowledge acquired within the associations and in their home communities; Strengthen cooperation between associations and promote the creation of a transnational “rural” network.
