By implementing the "Green Detox” project, we aimed to address the pervasive issue of excessive online engagement among young people, which was exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Our primary objectives were to educate participants about the negative effects of excessive online usage and social media addiction on mental health and well-being, to encourage the practice of digital detox, and to develop healthy habits for managing online time. We also sought to promote the exploration of nature and the benefits of spending time outdoors for both physical and mental health. Additionally, the project aimed to foster the development of social skills and real-life connections through group activities and community service, while providing opportunities for cultural exchange and intercultural learning among participants from different countries.
