Objectives

The project “Mind Your Health” aimed to provide young people with a safe space to discuss issues related to physical and emotional well-being, as well as the management of relationships with themselves and society. Following the social emergency that arose in the post-pandemic period, during which the need for self-care became a priority in the lives of young people, the choice to assist young participants in their personal growth journey and to provide them with tools to cope with feelings of isolation and confusion quickly emerged as one of the most important issues in today’s educational sphere of our association. The need to organize an exchange on these topics arose to pursue the following objectives identified during the application phase: Create a space for young people where they can openly discuss mental health. Analyze the topic of mental well-being in a holistic manner, considering three dimensions: the mind, the body, and society. Provide young people with time to analyze and recognize their emotions in order to achieve emotional awareness. Create a space for discussion to normalize the act of seeking help from experts in cases of psychological distress. Learn more about the relationship that young people from different countries and social contexts have with their emotions and mental health, including those who have experienced or are experiencing anxiety and/or depression. Offer an opportunity for cohabitation and self-management to young people in an intercultural environment. Promote the Erasmus+ program. The exchange dimension provided participants with the opportunity to step away from their daily lives and consider their challenges and difficulties from a more distant and analytical perspective, allowing them to immerse themselves fully in a safe and calm environment, where they could effectively work on emotion management and stress management techniques.
