Objectives

The "Boosting Inclusion Through Youth Work Vol. 2" project aimed to enhance the skills and knowledge of youth workers in integrating refugees and migrants into their communities. By continuing the work started in the first volume of the project, our primary objectives were to improve youth work practices, promote the social integration of refugees, foster positive public opinion about migrants, and explore the role of youth work in facilitating cultural exchange and social cohesion. Specifically, we wanted to achieve the following: - Improve Local Youth Work: Equip youth workers with the skills and methods to involve refugees and migrants in youth work, enhancing the inclusivity and diversity of their activities. - Foster Integration: Accelerate the integration of refugees and migrants into local societies through active participation in youth programs, cultural exchanges, and public awareness campaigns. - Prevent Discrimination: Explore the potential of youth work to prevent discrimination and radical behavior, providing youth workers with tools and standards to foster social integration. - Enhance Competence: Raise the qualifications and competences of youth workers by providing them with practical tools and methods for multicultural youth work. - Reduce Xenophobia: Lower xenophobia and racism among local youth by promoting multiculturalism and the benefits of diversity. - Support Professional Development: Provide training opportunities for youth workers and young people, helping them develop practical skills and enhancing their job prospects. By achieving these objectives, the project aimed to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for refugees and migrants, ultimately contributing to a more cohesive and culturally enriched society.
