Through the implementation of the "European Bridges" project, the main objective was to offer a group of young people with fewer opportunities a concrete experience of travel and intercultural discovery in Europe, thanks to the DiscoverEU Inclusion initiative. The project's primary goal was to promote active participation, European citizenship, and a sense of belonging to the European Union, particularly among young people who would not normally have access to such opportunities. The specific objectives of the project were: - to foster the social inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities through a non-formal educational experience of European mobility; - to strengthen transversal skills such as autonomy, intercultural communication, teamwork, and travel management; - to promote intercultural dialogue and the understanding of European cultural diversity; - to encourage reflection on the concept of “European bridges”, understood as connections between people, cultures, and territories; - to motivate participants to take on an active role in society and in the promotion of European values; - to reinforce young people’s involvement in non-formal education activities, also at the local level, stimulating a sense of responsibility and the ability to take initiative. The project aimed to serve as a tool for personal and social empowerment, encouraging the young participants to become more aware of their abilities and of their role as European citizens.
