Objectives

The project aimed to empower young people, particularly NEETs and recent graduates, to overcome barriers to employment and actively shape their futures. By implementing the project, the goal was to provide participants with the skills, tools, and confidence needed to enhance their employability, advocate for systemic change, and foster personal and professional growth. The training program wanted to: -Equip participants with practical skills (es. digital literacy, entrepreneurship, career planning), bridging the gap between education and the job market -Train young people in rights-based advocacy to influence systemic changes in employment policies and empower them to defend their rights -Build self-awareness through personality assessments, helping participants align their abilities with career paths that suit their strengths -Promote peer learning and cross-border collaboration among young people from Italy, Turkey, and Greece to exchange innovative ideas and best practices The project aimed to create a generation of confident, skilled, and proactive young individuals capable of driving positive change in their communities and addressing youth unemployment effectively

Background

The project was designed to address critical issues of youth unemployment, particularly among NEETs and recent graduates, by equipping them with the skills, tools, and confidence needed for successful transitions to the workforce. The project was developed based on: -Youth Unemployment Crisis: Youth unemployment rates in partner countries—Italy, Turkey, and Greece—highlighted the urgent need for intervention. -Skill Gaps: Many young people lack practical experience, digital literacy, and entrepreneurship skills, limiting their ability to secure and sustain employment. -Systemic Barriers: Limited access to advocacy tools and training prevents youth from addressing systemic challenges such as unequal opportunities and labor market demands. The training program focused on personal development, digital skills, and entrepreneurship, addressing the gap between theoretical education and practical application. Participants engaged in personality assessments and learned to advocate for systemic change using social media and digital tools. YANDA’s efforts built confidence, strengthened employability, and empowered youth to actively shape their futures while addressing unemployment challenges collaboratively
