Objectives

In this year, we focused particularly on climate protection, the environment, and nature, as an increasing number of young people were concerned about this pressing and vital issue. In 2023, the annual theme was "zemma handla - together for a healthy and sustainable future," which concentrated on several children's rights simultaneously. The aha coordinated the working groups and actions, and you could find more information about this collaboration and project on the website www.zemmahandla.li. The goals and contents of the "zemma handla" project were successfully achieved: - Drawing attention to the rights of children and young people in the context of the climate crisis: This was one of the focal points to ensure that young people were heard on this crucial issue. - Bringing together individuals from the fields of environment, climate protection, and sustainability to network and facilitate partnerships: This contributed to more effective measures in addressing climate change. - Sensitizing children and young people, informing them, and giving them opportunities to participate: This enabled young people to actively engage in shaping a sustainable future. - Contemplating the intergenerational aspect ("climate for grandma and grandpa"): This promoted a deeper understanding of the impact of the climate crisis on all generations and strengthened intergenerational dialogue. - Collaborating with partner organizations to carry out actions in sustainable development and report on them: These concrete projects brought about positive changes in the community. - On Children's Rights Day, November 20, 2023, successfully presenting the actions and project results. Furthermore, workshops and activities were conducted to raise awareness among young people about the significance of nature and environmental protection. We encouraged young people to align their daily habits and activities with nature, thus contributing to nature conservation. The aims of our project were realized, spanning from awareness and education to intercultural exchange, promotion of environmentally friendly behaviors, and the fostering of creative collaboration. We empowered young people to actively participate in environmental protection and engage in a diverse global community.
