Objectives

By deepening our andragogic competences, learning how to actively apply ICT in the educational process and blended learning, we want to increase our students' motivation to learn, try to achieve the best possible results and not drop out of school without getting an education. Success would be achieved if the number of students who do not finish school and who do not complete secondary education decreases by at least 4 percent and the average progress of students increases from 5.75 to 6.25 (comparison of statistical data for the academic year 2022/2023 and the academic year 2024/2025). We also expect that at least 3% more teachers will have started using ICT in their classes and will use more diverse ICT tools (results of the questionnaire survey).

Background

The biggest problem faced by the Šilalė school for adults is the lack of motivation of students to learn and low learning results. Teachers pay great attention to each student, but as society moves forward rapidly, we feel that we need to deepen our abilities and acquire new knowledge. We want to improve andragogic competences, to learn how to optimally use ICT in our lessons. We also want to improve in the field of mixed education (part of the training takes place at a distance, part live), because this is exactly how our working students want to learn. We believe that the updating of andragogic knowledge, more active use of ICT in lessons and more active use of mixed education would make the teaching process more interesting and effective and would lead to greater student motivation for learning, better results of student learning progress and determination to finish school and obtain secondary education.
