Objectives

The project's goal was to enhance the media literacy and digital security skills of Utena Third Age University teachers and students. Key tasks included upgrading the qualifications of six teachers through specialized courses, applying the acquired knowledge by developing a curriculum for university students, and organizing pilot training sessions. Additionally, the project aimed to strengthen staff's international collaboration skills to promote experience sharing and improve teaching quality.

Background

The university aims to promote the integration and education of older adults through various learning programs. In response to the risks posed by digital media, especially to seniors, a project was implemented to strengthen media literacy. The project addressed the critical need for teachers to acquire media literacy skills, enabling them to guide older adults in safely navigating and engaging with digital content, ultimately enhancing their digital literacy and confidence in the digital age.
