Objectives

Mykolas Romeris University (hereinafter referred to as MRU) has taken over the rights and obligations of the reorganized Marijampolė College from 1 October 2024 by merging it with the project. MRU implemented this European mobility project in accordance with the MRU priorities for mobility (SMS, STA) and the requirements set out in the MRU application for the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education and the received charter. In essence, the University (and the newly established academic unit - Sūduva Academy) continued the activities of the previous years of Erasmus+ experience - promoting student and staff mobility, striving for a balance between incoming and outgoing mobility as much as possible. Student and staff exchanges continue to be considered one of the main tools that help ensure the quality of studies and expand the internationality of the university. All this is part of the overall university strategy (its aspects related to internationality). MRU aims to ensure that as many students as possible have a real opportunity to study or do internships abroad, thus expanding their learning experience, growing as individuals and global citizens, sensitive to intercultural relations, adapting more easily to different situations, etc., and makes great efforts to ensure that students achieve their personal development goals and complete their study programs in a flexible manner, tailored to their needs. Flexibility in studies, individual personal counseling, and a financial support system for students with fewer opportunities are considered important measures to maintain a high number of MRU graduates. Short-term mobilities were also carried out within this project.
