Each Erasmus+ mobility project directly contributes to the implementation of the university’s strategic goals. In the VILNIUS TECH 2021–2030 strategy, internationalisation is defined as a core value guiding the University’s vision for 2030: to become an international and prestigious European technical university distinguished by the quality of its studies and research, as well as by its significant impact on the individual, the community, and society. This value reflects openness to the world and to new experiences, and is defined as a university without borders that prioritises cooperation and networking with partners across the globe. The aim of the project was not only to provide opportunities for students and staff to gain international experience, but also to promote institutional changes that contribute to the university’s growth and competitiveness. Our objectives were to: • Promote mobility – create opportunities for as many students and staff as possible to participate in international activities, thereby strengthening their competences, motivation, and professional growth; • Develop partnerships – reinforce existing ties with foreign institutions and establish new ones, enabling the creation of joint study programs, research collaborations, and sharing of best practices; • Promote EU values – through mobility activities, foster solidarity, inclusion, intercultural communication, and cooperation, thereby contributing to the strengthening of the European Higher Education Area; • Contribute to strategic change – enhance the university’s ability to adapt to global challenges such as digitalization, climate change, social inclusion, and academic freedom. Erasmus+ projects foster the institution’s continuous renewal, adaptation to changing market and societal needs, and set a high standard of internationalisation by promoting solidarity, inclusion, intercultural dialogue, and cooperation.
