Objectives

The project aimed to: - develop six online micro-credentials for hybrid teaching addressing core hybrid-teaching competences (approx. 1 ECTS each, as planned at application stage), aligned with the Digital Competence Framework for Educators (DigCompEdu) and UDL guidelines; - pilot the learning content with target users and improve it based on feedback; - enable recognition through a micro-certification / digital badge approach within partner institutions; - disseminate results through national and international events, community building and open access publication of the developed materials.

Background

Hybrid Teaching: Empowering Educators for the Future (HYBRID-ELEVATE) has been a 2-year Erasmus+ cooperation project that supports academic staff (and teacher educators / trainers) in designing and delivering effective hybrid learning, which requires staff to combine pedagogy, technology, assessment, and inclusive course design in one coherent practice. The project was set up as a cooperation partnership in higher education to strengthen educators’ competences for hybrid teaching through structured learning pathways and recognition mechanisms. Higher education and teacher-training institutions needed a structured, practical way to strengthen educators’ competences for hybrid teaching and learning (including course design, delivery, assessment and accessibility), and to recognise these competences in a credible and transferable manner. The project responded to this need by developing a coherent set of micro-credentials and a micro-certification approach that partner institutions could embed in their professional development offer.
