Through the project we aimed at achieving the following objectives: Objective 1: To design curricula for 9 modular training courses, each based on one ETS competence area. For the first cycle, we specifically aimed at Designing programmes competence area and created the opportunities for youth workers to develop the following competences (knowledge, skills and attitudes): > How to involve young people in the international programme design and assess their needs. > How to apply non-formal learning principles when designing international youth work programmes. > How to deal with ambiguity and unexpected elements when developing and realising international programmes. > How to integrate digital transformation in international youth work programmes at the content, activity and tools levels. > How to reflect, assess and recognise youth worker competence development in international programme design using Youthpass, digital badges and the Cities of Learning platform. Objective 2: To design curricula for 9 modular training courses for trainers, each based on one ETS competence area. For the first cycle, we specifically aimed at Facilitating learning competence area and created the opportunities for trainers to develop the following competences (knowledge, skills and attitudes): > How to identify and meet the learning needs of trainees > How to facilitate group dynamics > How to select, adapt or create appropriate methods > How to stimulate active participation and empowerment of learners > How to promote creativity, problem-solving and ‘out-of-the-box’ thinking > How to create a safe, inspiring learning environment in the training context After completing two activities from the first cycle, we added an additional activity - a study visit to the Netherlands, aiming: > To explore and reflect on recognition practices of youth work and youth worker profession; > To explore how open badges are being used in the field of youth in the Netherlands > To meet with practitioners using badges in their programmes. > To explore ways to integrate badging in youth work programmes. It aligned very well to our system development and outreach activities and helped to support our partners skills in using open badges in their context.
