Objectives

A1)There's a growing concern over the limited involvement of young people in democratic processes today. Many feel disconnected from traditional political systems, leading to low voter turnout and minimal engagement in civic activities. This disengagement poses a risk of democratic deficit, where decisions may not align with the interests of the younger generation. To address this challenge, the "Empower Your Voice" Erasmus+ training course was held in Vilnius from November 7-11 (+2 traveling days) Youth workers and volunteers from Italy, Lithuania, Greece, Poland and Estonian came together for this initiative. The course focused on promoting active citizenship and democratic participation, aiming to achieve the following objectives: Foster youth engagement in global dialogues and policy-making processes. Analyze the challenges stemming from the lack of youth representation in democratic procedures. Encourage collaborative approaches, enabling youth to brainstorm and implement projects in their local communities. Emphasize the importance of active participation as a catalyst for societal change. Develop guidelines outlining measures to enhance active community involvement at the local level. A2) In today's world, rapid industrialization poses significant challenges to global ecosystems, including climate change, deforestation, and pollution, which not only endanger wildlife but also impact human health. Transitioning towards sustainable practices is essential to address these issues effectively. The "Green Choices" Erasmus+ training course convened in Vilnius, Lithuania from January 20-24, with an additional 2 travel days.. The project aimed to engage young people in international discussions and decision-making processes concerning environmental concerns. Its primary objectives were to: Identify and highlight the most detrimental environmental habits prevalent in the participating countries. Foster collaboration on urgent environmental challenges at an international level. Share successful models of eco-friendly initiatives from diverse countries. Develop clear guidelines for implementing eco-friendly social initiatives within local communities. Raise public awareness about environmental responsibility and encourage participants to promote eco-friendly practices in their respective communities. A3) Many young individuals face challenges in securing stable employment, often encountering unfair treatment or discrimination in the workplace. Additionally, a lack of skills and information about job opportunities further hinders their prospects. To address this issue, it's crucial to provide better training and ensure equitable employment opportunities for all. Youth Exchange “Get hired” was held in Vilnius from March 2 to 9, with an additional 2 travel days. It gathered 36 young individuals from 5 countries (Lithuania, Poland, Czechia, Germany, and Greece). The project aimed to achieve several key objectives: Enhance soft skills and essential competencies among young individuals. Deepen understanding of entrepreneurship and business management among youth. Expand job prospects for youth in the participating countries and introduce them to skill-building opportunities within the EU. Improve access to and equalize opportunities for rural youth in terms of employment and education. Furthermore, all three projects were aligned with the objectives of the Erasmus+ program, contributing to: Promoting European values such as respect for human dignity, democracy, equality, sustainable development, pluralism, and solidarity. Supporting the overarching goals of the renewed framework for European cooperation in the youth field, which aim to provide more equitable opportunities for young people in education and the labor market, and to encourage their active participation in society. Aligning with the aims of the strategic framework for European collaboration in education and training, which seek to make lifelong learning and mobility a reality, enhance the quality and efficiency of education and training, promote equity, social cohesion, and active citizenship, and foster creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship across all levels of education and training. Additionally, all three projects corresponded to specific Key Action 1 objectives, including the enhancement of the ability to address the needs of disadvantaged individuals, the improvement of the quality of youth workers' activities in support of young people, the promotion of a broader understanding of youth work across countries, the development of improved foreign language competencies, and the encouragement of increased motivation for participating in future (formal/non-formal) education or training following the mobility period abroad.
