While preparing the idea, vision, and mission of the project "Voice of Youth: WARS - STOP" (hereinafter - STOP), we had to face a considerable challenge. The fact that with this particularly sensitive, but also very important topic, "missing" the circle of populists, connoisseurs, experts, who "charge" the political, economic, social and popularity potential. February 24, 2022 the war started by Russia in Ukraine, the related political, social, economic, security, psychological, etc. consequences, which have been holding Europe and the whole world captive for a year. "Writing" a project on this topic would seem simple, uncomplicated, fashionable. There is more than enough "material" for this in the media, social networks, and official websites of state institutions. Military connoisseurs, experts, advisors, consultants and other categories of specialists as well. By implementing this project, we understand our "place", purpose, possibilities, context. While preparing this project, discussing together with partners, interested parties, we named ourselves the main principle, the principle that "everything starts with small things". Therefore, by doing them clearly, concretely and consistently in our daily personal and local community activities, we can contribute to impact, change, reverberation, support and in a wider context. The non-governmental organizations (NGOs) of the 5 countries participating in the project (Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Ukraine, Turkey) identified and found the common denominators of the project. It is a very similar, shared history of the partner countries, experience in achieving the countries' independence, establishing these aspirations in long-term strategies and international organizations. In this place, the organizers of the project had to remember and repeat the lessons of history, geography, and politics of the 20th century. Here are the five historical stages of Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine, Poland, and Turkey, with similar and overlapping aspirations for freedom. Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine and Poland, in a longer historical sense and Turkey, another common denominator, belonging to the Soviet Union or its "bloc" (now Russia), liberation from its "guardianship", consolidation of long-term economic, social, military security prospects, guarantees in global and European organizations (NATO and EU). The third common denominator consists of 3 main themes of STOP, which were adopted by the general consensus of NGOs: 1. "European identity, citizenship and values". 2. "Reception and integration of refugees and migrants". 3. "Physical and mental health, well-being." Next, we focus on the overall goal of STOP, which we formulate as its name, the slogan: "European youth - against any wars in Europe and in the world". We expand the general goal, consolidate it with 3 specific goals that "emerge" from the 3 STOP topics. It is to provide knowledge, skills, abilities, competences, to improve, develop and improve them: 1. about the democratic values, identity, identity, ethnic, cultural, historical heritage of European countries, national (parliaments, local self-governments) and international organizations (EU, NATO) providing economic, social, security guarantees, feelings of certainty about the future. 2. about the reception of persons fleeing wars in EU countries, the resulting educational, learning, social, economic, linguistic, cultural challenges of successful and proper integration, the provision of humanitarian aid to citizens of countries that have entered war zones. 3. about the importance of strengthening feelings of good physical and emotional well-being, health, as well as personal security and resilience, by applying competence development, informal, self-education models. Summarizing the goals and the basis of STOP, we can say that it is very important for the world's youth to realize that we live in a rapidly changing space, which is surrounded by many internal and external factors and challenges that cannot always be foreseen, "forecasted". Therefore, staying together, helping each other in all possible ways and means, is an undoubted guarantee of the safety, and perhaps survival, of all nations. We draw attention to the term "ALL". This also applies to the citizens of nations currently ruled by "military regimes", gradually, consistently developing and nurturing the understanding: to be together in a safe, united Europe and the world.
