Objectives

The key objective of the project was to introduce participants from Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Moldova and Ukraine to alternative way of looking at wellbeing through six pillars: physical, psychological, emotional, social, professional and financial. Every pillar has also smaller objectives. While speaking about physical pillar we wanted to introduce youth to the first aid practices, about contemporary issues with eye sight and general ergonomics while working or studying in as sitting position in front of computers. About sleep deprivation. We wanted not only to speak up about it, but also to provide practical tools on how to improve eye health, posture, how to provide first aid, how to improve sleep quality. While speaking about psychological wellbeing, we wanted to delve deeper into cognitive distortions through scientific evidence as well as through games and practical exercises. We wanted to develop the understanding of what is the essence of happiness for every individual personally. In the part for emotional wellbeing we wanted to understand what is emotional intelligence, how to understand own emotions, we wanted to provide participants a chance for self-reflection through art therapy. The objective of social wellbeing day was to understand most common stereotypes not only to be aware about them but also to obtain tools on how to become resilient to stereotypes going forward. We wanted to touch upon the theory of five love languages to increase self-awareness of participants about their attraction and communication styles. As for professional pillar, we wanted to introduce challenges which could be faced in the working place such as stress, burnout or even mobbing. We also wanted to share some inspirational stories from our related people about their professional success to inspire participants with real life stories. A key goal was to show that it is important to have a work you like rather than just being practical. Finally, in the financial pillar we wanted to introduce participants to investing and basics of financial literacy through games and easy tasks. A key goal is to show that financial literacy is crucial in everyday life and it is not always boring and frustrating but could sometimes be fun and rewarding. In general, we wanted to increase awareness about wellbeing pillars and related challenges as well as to provide tools on how to deal with such challenges. As a side objective of our project, we really wanted to give a chance to every country to present their culture, to share cultural experience, hence, we organized 5 cultural evenings. Finally, we wanted to raise awareness about Erasmus opportunities, about participating NGOs and Europe in general.
