The “Equality for Sustainable Future” Youth Exchange project is our common idea, we, young people, are the authors and it's implementers. Our teams and each individual member were actively involved in our work at all stages of cooperation, from joint development of the idea and preparatory activities, through implementation and finally promotion and dissemination (follow-up / final evaluation). The project “Equality for Sustainable Future” was implemented by 24 young people supported by 6 leaders and 2 facilitators representing partner organizations from Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Spain, Slovakia and Bulgaria. All groups involved in the preparation and implementation of the project participated in its implementation and actively worked together to achieve the goals and objectives of our mobilities described in the application. Each of the groups of young people involved in our youth exchange fulfilled their commitments and assigned tasks, and all the participants with the dedication of their free time, showing ambition and commitment, "gave themselves" during the cooperation of our groups. The topic of our project was inequality of rights and opportunities for women, men and non-hetero normative people in our local communities. By carrying out our project we wanted to increase our knowledge of the problem of discrimination against people based on gender and sexual orientation, promote equality and equal rights, strengthen us but also educate our peers and the local community, and develop attitudes that will counteract discrimination based on gender and sexual orientation in the future.
