"BeYounique" is a youth exchange project that aims to empower young people between the ages of 18-24 to step out of their comfort zones, develop personal skills, and strive for personal and professional growth. The project was born out of the need to encourage and motivate young people to be unique, self-confident, open-minded, and strive for individual joyful and motivational livelihood. The project is based on non-formal education methods and experiential learning. The main aim of the project is to involve young people with fewer opportunities, such as those facing social, intercultural, educational, and economic obstacles, and promote social inclusion. The project will also promote intercultural experiences and knowledge, intercultural dialogue and tolerance between different cultures, and encourage European youth cooperation. The youth exchange program will be an 8-day program, divided into various activities such as workshops, team building, icebreaking games, intercultural cognition activities, and excursions. The project will use non-formal education methods, and the activities will lead to developing personal skills and competencies. The methods used in the project youth exchange program will include intercultural learning, leadership, teamwork, creativity activities, self-expression, and peer-to-peer learning in transnational groups. The project also includes virtual components such as a Facebook project page and Facebook group, WhatsApp project management tool online, and motivational film and video evenings. The project participants will be young people between the ages of 18-24 from Lithuania, Estonia, Spain, the Czech Republic, and Greece. The project aims to develop the skills and competences of young people, including getting out of their comfort zone, improving their ability to reach their personal and team goals, improving English language and intercultural communication skills, developing personal responsibility and organizational skills, and knowledge of human rights as a European citizen. The project aims to create a future vision and plan on how to accomplish it step by step, motivate young people to find a job they like or to make their own business, and help young people become open, self-confident, and create their vision for the future. The project will result in the creation of a short 2-4 minute motivational and inspirational movie clip that will be presented in social media and video sharing platforms, as well as to project youth organizations during the last day of the exchange program.
