The Voices of Migration project aimed to achieve four main objectives: (1) Collect and curate young migrants’ stories to showcase their experiences through a digital exhibition and intercultural training activities; (2) Develop educational videos and methodological guidelines for youth workers, equipping them with tools to foster inclusion using public history methods; (3) Organize inclusive local festivals to bring together diverse generations, nationalities, and cultural backgrounds, promoting dialogue and mutual understanding; and (4) Amplify the project’s impact through extensive dissemination efforts to reach broader audiences and encourage adoption of its results.
The Voices of Migration project was initiated in response to the growing need for supporting young migrants, particularly those impacted by the war in Ukraine, to share their experiences, foster intercultural understanding, and promote inclusion. Young migrants often face isolation, discrimination, and limited opportunities to voice their challenges and achievements. The project sought to address these needs by creating platforms for storytelling, enhancing youth workers’ capacities to support migrants, and building solidarity within communities. By leveraging public history and digital storytelling, the project aimed to bridge cultural divides and empower young migrants to connect with their communities.
