The Project "Stories Empower Youngsters" (SEY), was driven by a desire to make an impact on especially NEET (youth not in employment, education, or training) individuals between the age of 18 - 30. Through activities of storytelling and cultural heritage, we aimed to help young people to develop their personal and professional skills and provide them orientation for future plans. Our goals were clear: We wanted to equip our 36 participants with more than just job skills. By delving into stories from various cultures, we aimed to develop qualities like critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork by activating their creativity. Making Learning Engaging: During the project activities, we focused on non-formal educational methods that encouraged active participation. We wanted our participants to be excited about learning, to feel like they were part of something bigger. Connecting with Culture as one of the main goals of international projects, it played a crucial role in "Stories empower youngsters" as with exploring the different cultural roots of participants and sharing stories from around the world, we hoped to ignite a sense of pride and belonging in our participants. Empowering Change: Ultimately, we wanted to empower our participants to take charge of their own lives. By involving them in every step of the project, from planning to execution, we hoped to instill a sense of confidence and responsibility. We wanted them to know that they had the power to make a difference – not just in their own lives, but in the world around them. "Stories empower youngsters" was planned to be literally an empowerment. It was about giving participants the tools they needed to succeed, not just in the workforce, but in life.
