Our main goal was to empower young people from our European partners’ associations to better recognize their emotions, to develop a stronger idea about what mental health care means and what it can look like. We wanted to equip youngsters with tools and strategies they might find useful to develop mental and emotional resistance, mindfulness and ability to find healthy coping mechanisms to the increasingly stressful society of today. Our goal was to also encourage them to share the newly acquired good practices with their peers both during the project and later on in their local communities. By having them manage themselves in a safe space for emotional expression and guiding them through dialogue about mental and emotional health, we wanted them to develop some strategies that work for them, believing as we do that there is no “one size fits all” in the care of the internal health of any individual. As always with Erasmus+ projects, we also wanted to provide the participants with the possibility of meeting people from different cultures and communities, thereby broadening their horizons, and developing intercultural bonds.
