Objectives

The main objectives of the project were: -To provide an innovative career guidance tool enabling young people to develop real career guidance skills, going beyond simple psychometric tests. - To eliminate language barriers by offering the application in all official languages of the European Union, as well as Luxembourgish, Norwegian and Ukrainian, in order to ensure accessibility for all, including migrants and those with low levels of education. - Promote European openness and cohesion by including a module on careers and training in Europe, in order to strengthen the sense of belonging to the Union and to better understand cultural and professional diversity. - Enrich language teaching and learning through a module for comparative discovery of European languages, enabling young people to develop curiosity, motivation and linguistic awareness. - Support teachers, trainers and guidance counsellors by providing them with practical teaching materials (booklet, usage scenarios, training video) to integrate the tool into their daily practices.

Background

Our application for this project arose from a shared observation: many young people find it difficult to make informed choices about their professional future. The job market is constantly changing and requires not only technical skills, but also intercultural awareness and openness to languages. However, in many school contexts, young people lack practical, interactive and motivating tools to explore careers, get to know themselves better and develop this openness. The Zoom2Choose project aimed to meet these needs. We wanted to: create an innovative digital tool accessible to all, enabling young people to reflect on their interests, skills and personal values; promote a European and multilingual approach to career guidance in order to stimulate linguistic and intercultural curiosity; support teachers, educators and career guidance counsellors by providing them with flexible and attractive teaching materials; reduce inequalities in access to career guidance by offering a tool that can be used in a variety of contexts (schools, vocational training, support for young people in difficulty).
