Objectives

The University of Latvia has consistently been the country’s leading and most influential higher education institution. It is the largest comprehensive university in Latvia, playing a crucial role not only in the development of the entire education system but also in the overall growth of the national economy. The University’s goal is to establish itself as an international center for scientific cooperation and development, and Erasmus+ higher education mobility provides an excellent opportunity to achieve its internationalization objectives. Expanding international cooperation through the UL participation in global university networks (UNICA, Utrecht Network, ISEP, EUF, etc.), membership in the European University Alliance FORTHEM, a significant number of bilateral agreements, active involvement in various projects, and extensive collaboration with both programme and partner countries under Erasmus+ all contribute to internationalization processes at every level of the University. A priority of the project has been the increase in mobility for the transfer of international knowledge among students and staff, alongside the improvement of study processes and services provided.
