For the Latvian Academy of Sport Education (LASE), participation in Erasmus+ KA131 mobility activities is of great importance, as they provide wide-ranging opportunities for both students and academic staff. Through this programme, students can study at other European universities to broaden their knowledge in sports science, health, education, and coaching. It is not only an opportunity to study in another country but also to gain valuable international experience, improve language skills, develop communication abilities, and gain a deeper understanding of cultural diversity. This makes LASE graduates more competitive in the labour market both in Latvia and abroad. For LASE academic staff, Erasmus mobility is also a valuable tool for professional growth. Lecturers can take part in teaching, training, seminars, and workshops at partner universities, acquire new teaching methods and experiences, and share their expertise. Such exchanges contribute to improving the quality of studies and implementing innovative approaches at the Academy. At the same time, mobility activities strengthen LASE’s international cooperation, create opportunities to establish new contacts with foreign partners, and participate in joint research projects. This helps the Academy to develop and become more visible on the European stage, as well as attract partners and international students. Overall, Erasmus+ KA131 mobilities give LASE the opportunity to grow and develop by enhancing the competences of both students and staff and by promoting the Academy’s internationalisation.
