The aim of the project was to establish and strengthen sustainable cooperation between the EKA University of Applied Sciences (Latvia) and the European University (Georgia), expanding the Latvian university's cooperation network in the east. Until now, the university had no official partners in Georgia, while European University already cooperated with several Latvian universities. The goal of the project was to follow the internationalization strategy of the EKA University of Applied Sciences (https://www.augstskola.lv/upload/IMS2028_LAT_14.02.2024_apstiprinats.pdf), promoting employee excellence, motivating engagement in international mobility, developing a multicultural environment ("internationalization at home"), improving the quality of studies by attracting internationally recognized lecturers and promoting tolerance, as well as intercultural and social skills for students and staff. At the same time, it also significantly contributed to the development directions of the European University (internationalization of the study process and extracurricular activities, as well as internationalization of the scientific process), https://europeanuniversity.ge/sites/default/files/2020-04/legal/eng/Internationalization%20policy.pdf.
