The common need of partners in this project was to strengthen the motivation and mental health of their staff and volunteers and to increase their competences and capacities to better address young people's mental health problems. In particular the project was focused on resilience which refers to the process and outcome of successfully adapting to difficult or challenging life experiences, having the mental, emotional, and behavioral flexibility to adjust to both internal and external demands. The activities aimed to address two main aims: - To provide youth workers with tools and methods to support mental well-being and resilience, to stimulate creativity and motivation, and to improve self-regulation skills of themselves and young people. - To support youth workers’ professional development by providing them with methods that will help them adapt and overcome new challenges in their practice, as well as achieve better communication with the young people they work with, and their colleagues. The expected learning outcomes for participants included: - Increased resilience and ability to overcome new professional challenges from changing environments and working in uncertain and unsupportive situations. - Improved self-awareness and self-regulation skills. - Competence to use creative tools and methods for improving mental wellbeing, resilience, and self-regulation skills in young people. - Enhanced ability to discuss and explore mental health issues with young people. - Better and more authentic connections with themselves, the young people they work with, and their colleagues. - Expanded professional network at the European level, leading to new ideas and partnerships for developing further European projects aimed at improving young people's mental health. For us, this project was a step towards advocating for youth workers' interests and improving their working conditions, as well as developing innovative and creative activities to support young people's mental wellbeing and resilience. As the need for greater resilience is shared among different age, social, and professional groups, the project also served as a meeting point for organizations working to support young people's mental health. These organizations were interested in using European programs to develop new activities for their target groups, aiming to improve their mental wellbeing, self-regulation skills, and resilience.
